Welcome back… For those of you who missed the heat and the crowd in Toulon and Marseille, I would like to summarize the first episode. 2008 first edition of BioMarine was an incredible experience. Over 2000 participants from 61 countries attended the 5 days conference. The French presidency of the European council turned it into an incredible stakeholders meeting: 449 industry leaders, 278 companies, 503 key scientists worked, discussed and made incredible deals…

A "BBC world debate" was held during the conference in Marseille, but the real buzz came from the web: 54,900 web references, 71 videos still running and more than 47,000 downloads of the session reports.  What a first edition!

It was time to think clearly and prepare the next round. BioMarine 2011 is on the go. We will offer you several different platforms: BioMarine Business Convention, BioMarine Geopolitics and BioMarine Summits.

The 2011 Business conference will set foot in Nantes and St Nazaire (march 21, 22 and 23) , and then visit North America in 2012 and possibly China in 2013. It is 100% business focused and both conferences and expo will focus on marine biotechnologies, cosmetics, nutrition, materials and marine renewable energies.

The 8 Jan 2010 press conference for the launch of BioMarine Business Convention 2011 was a real success. Over 100 attendees participated.

We now have 14 months to get ready and offer you the best experience ever in term of marine business convention. You will discover an amazing region of France where technology and research rhyme with entrepreneurship.
