Discovery day
Visit the "post" BioMarine event: Discovery Day - October 24 , afternoon
Discover the most attractive technological, scientific and logistic sites in and around Marseille and Toulon on Friday 24th October afternoon. Visits open to all BIOMARINE participants. Registrations are free but the number of attendants is limited.
To participate, please check the Discovery day option in the BioMarine register form online (click on register at the bottom of the page ).
1. MARSEILLE LEADING PROJECTS
• Marseille-Fos: 1st port of the Mediterranean and 3rd port in the world for hydrocarbons
• Antares project: a unique European project which aims to study Neutrinos with a Submarine telescope (presentation)
• Marseille/La Ciotat: a marina industrial site, using the most performing ship lifting equipment in the Mediterranean (over 2,000 metric tons)
Schedule: departure from Parc Chanot in Marseille at 1.00 pm, return at 6.30 pm.

2. TOULON LEADING PROJECTS (Limited at 30 attendees)
• Ifremer: Centre of Mediterranean specialized in submarine and environmental technologies
• Toulon: Europe's major naval military port and 1st France-Italy Motorway of the Sea
• Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer: Park of Marine Activities: conversion of a former naval air statiodedicated to marine activities
• Ollioules: Marine Techno Park in development, dedicated to high technologies in link with the international Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur Marine Cluster.
Schedule: departure from Parc Chanot in Marseille at 1.00 pm, return at Toulon (6.00 pm) or at Marseille (7.30 pm)
