Event of the French EU Presidency
From July 2008, France holds the Presidency of the European Union’s Council for a period of 6 months.
The French Presidency will be the key moment of the implementation of the ambitious integrated maritime policy proposed by the European Commission in the Blue Book last October.
As this innovative European standard will be the central axis of the forum and a model to be discussed on a global basis, the 2008 BioMarine edition has been created as the European Maritime Initiative in the World.
French Government representatives will attend the event at the highest levels and will invite their European and international counterparts as BioMarine will be the only “sea” event during the French Presidency.
